We're re-opening!

We are pleased to be reopening Emerald Education Centre from Monday 7th September 2020. In order to comply with government and health guidelines with regard to Covid-19, we have changed a number of our lesson and operational procedures. You will notice some changes when your child comes to the centre for lessons.

We have reorganised the centre to ensure social distancing. We will ensure the room is very well ventilated. We will only use a limited selection of the centre’s resources, so some resources will be unavailable.

We appreciate your patience & understanding as we adjust to this ‘new normal’.

Please read the following instructions & guidelines carefully before arriving at our centre:

Before lessons

Please ensure students have been to the toilet before visiting the centre. We ask this to restrict movement during their time with us.

Make sure hands have been washed before coming to the centre.

We are limited to a maximum of 6 people in the centre at any given time. We ask that all parents and students wait in the corridor until it is time for class to begin before entering the centre.

Arriving & Departing

Only students will be able to enter the room during restrictions. Parents must drop children off at the door.

Please always observe social distancing in the centre. Our room has been reconfigured to accommodate this. Students will be shown to a workspace. They must remain there for the duration of the lesson.

At the end of sessions, we ask that students are collected promptly from the corridor outside the room. It is very important that students are collected promptly to give us enough time to sanitise the area before the next class arrives. It is also important to arrive no earlier than when your class is due to start.

There is no waiting for parents in the centre.

There will be no feedback available at the end of lessons until social distancing rules change.

Face Coverings & Sanitising

Secondary students should wear a mask when in the centre. This is optional for primary students and those that have a condition that affects mask use. This may change according to government guidelines. The tutor will also wear a mask.

Please use the hand sanitiser at the door when you enter and leave the centre.

Our laptops, headphones and workstations will be sanitised before and after every session.

Payment

This must be done at the start of each lesson. If possible, we prefer cashless payments. If cash is used, please give this to the student to pay on arrival. Please let us know if you are paying by card when you arrive. It is also possible to send an invoice by email to pay online in advance. Please let us know if you would prefer this option.

Equipment Required

Students must bring their own stationery, including a calculator where applicable. We cannot provide these during restrictions. Students should bring their Homework Folder if you would like homework to be provided. We are also happy to provide online homework as an alternative.

Emerald Education Centre offers online tuition and in-person lessons at our centre in Bundoran, Donegal. For more information about how we can help YOUR child, please do get in touch with Elaine Lingard at elaine@emeraldeducationcentrebundoran.com, check out our Facebook page or visit our website.
